I have taught at a variety of places, including Phillip Academy's Summer Session in Andover, Massachusetts and Yale Summer Session in New Haven, Connecticut, as well the Ethnic Studies Program and the Gender Studies Department at Lewis and Clark College. If you are one of my former students, please feel free to drop me a line!

These days I teach at UCLA's faculty as an Assistant Professor of English, with secondary appointments in African American Studies and Gender Studies as well as the interdisciplinary Center for Performance Studies. My classes are also affiliated with the LGBT Studies Program and the Disability Studies minor.

I teach interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate courses including: Contemporary African American Literature, Queer Literature and Culture after 1970, Introduction to Performance Studies, Queer of Color Critique and Disability Narratives as well as senior seminars on more specialized topics such as Afro-futurism or The 1990s.
